Hiroki Toyama

Field Technician

 

Mr. Hiroki Toyama is an air quality emissions testing field technician conducting air emissions sampling, data collection, equipment calibration and maintenance, laboratory analysis and assistance with report preparation for submittal to clients and regulatory authorities. He participated in the Alberta Stack Testing Training class held at Mount Royal University.  His field work covers any of the emissions sampling methods and he continues to expand his knowledge of this challenging field. Hiroki participated in the AHERA Building Inspector Training program for dealing with Hazardous Building Materials and to expand his knowledge in the environmental field.

2013 – present:  Particulate Testing, NOx Compliance, Moisture and Flows, Burnaby, BC, Canada.  Responsible for setting up equipment and testing emissions. Tests included Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATAs), particulate matter tests, NOx, marine and truck loading Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) monitoring.

 

Client:  Erco Worldwide – North Vancouver, BC, Canada

2013 – present:  Chlorine Emissions testing.  Performed stack testing using US EPA Method 26A to demonstrate compliance with Erco’s existing air permit.

 

Client: Canexus Chemical Plant Corporation – North Vancouver, BC, Canada

2013 – present:  Conducted emission testing using US EPA Method 26 to measure emissions of Hydrogen Chloride (HCL) and Chlorine (Cl) from the acid plant’s hydrogen stacks.

Vapor Recovery Unit Testing

Client:  Shell Canada

2014 – present:  Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) Performance Testing, Burnaby, BC, Canada. Conducted a performance test on the VRU to determine the emissions of recovery efficiency of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), measure the VOC concentrations at the VRU inlet and outlet and the volume of vapour discharged from the VRU.

 

Clients: CH2MHill and Kinder Morgan

2014 – present:  Vapour Testing, Burnaby, BC, Canada.  Conducted Vapour testing at the Westridge Tanker terminal’s Vapour Combustion Unit to measure the emissions of total hydrocarbons (THC) being released while tanker loading operations are underway.
